Requirements
Your participation and cooperation with the following is key in keeping the program available.
Only items stacked correctly will be chipped
- Slash piles must be stacked with cut ends all facing toward the road in piles no taller than four feet.
- We will not chip anything larger than 6 inches in diameter.
- Slash piles must be located on the side of the street or a similar location where the slash can easily be brought to the chipper. The chipper will not go off-road unless personnel have given prior approval.
- Dead sticks, composting logs, and pine neddels picked up off the ground of your property will not be chipped. Slash must not include root balls, trash, lumber, or rocks.
A household representative must be present
- We require at least one member of the household or a knowledgeable representative to be present at the time of chipping. Any extra volunteers are welcome. However, please advise us on how many people you anticipate helping on the form.
